Just learned that Nancy Pearl was going to be a keynote speaker at the OLC Superconference on Thursday morning.  Too bad she’s speaking at 9:05 and there is no way I will be there  yet, considering I’m leaving Detroit Thursday morning (unless I decide to leave at 4am or something!)  It would be so cool to hear her talk, as readers’ advisory is one of my favorite things to do ever and I would so love to hear all of her superhero readers’ advisory tricks.

I’m sure that I will someday get another opportunity to hear her speak at a librarian conference though, or maybe I should just say I will make seeing her speak a goal.  I’m hoping she will be around for more than just that and I can maybe track her down and try to chat with her–do people do that at conferences?  Maybe that is creepy.
